Do the regular Skylanders from Skylanders Giant work on the first game?

Question by Brittany: Do the regular Skylanders from Skylanders Giant work on the first game?
I don’t mean the giant ones. I just mean the normal ones, like Cynder and Drobot. Will they work on Skylander’s Spyro adventure even if they have the word Giants on their package?

The ones that are originally in Spyro’s Adventures will work, even if they are the new Giants version. The new characters made for Giants won’t. Also the ones marked Lightcore won’t. Each package has it marked on it with an X or a check if it will work with the original game or not.
