How much do you spend when getting a child a birthday gift. The age of the child would be around 5-6.

  1. For me, it depends on whose child it is:

    Mine – $ 300 – $ 400 (including party for friends and large Italian family and required food and gifts)

    Relative – $ 40 to $ 50

    Friend from school – $ 20 to $ 25

  2. For my child I usually spend $ 100 including the cake and gift. For someone else’s child I spend about $ 20.

  3. lots of love. Nah umm i would spend $ 10-25 maybe 30 if you wonted to. but hey you could always give them a paper note i mean kids love them, but if it is your child you should really be spending $ 100 all up.

  4. Usually for our children we spend around $ 300.00 for birthdays. Including the party.

    EDIT: Sorry I though I read for your own child. On other ppl’s children we spend around $ 20 and for godchildren between $ 50-$ 100
